Alicia “Li” Miles (she/they) is the Associate Director of Inclusive Excellence Affairs in the Office of Diversity & Inclusion at Wake Forest University. With over a decade of experience in higher education, Li is celebrated for developing transformative diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives that foster equitable, inclusive environments. Li’s expertise spans leadership development, data analysis, project management, and curriculum design, where she merges research with practical strategies to create sustainable change.
Li holds a Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed) in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington and is a proud HBCU alum, having earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from North Carolina Central University. Prior to Wake Forest Li taught graduate level courses on inclusion, coaching, and leadership. Li has led DEIB strategies, trained thousands of employees, and managed impactful large-scale projects aimed at improving organizational culture.
Li’s work is deeply connected to the communities she serves, shaped by her lived experience. For fun, Li enjoys cats, being an athlete, nature, and reading.
