The University’s main resource for enrollment and employment data is cataloged and shared through the Wake Forest University Fact Book, on the Office of Institutional Research (IR) website. The Fact Book’s Table of Contents will direct data consumers to a wide range of general information on students, staff, and faculty.

Users are strongly encouraged to review the Fact Book User Guide in order to learn the most effective and efficient methods for engaging with institutional data.

In addition to referring interested parties to the Wake Forest Fact Book, this page also provides access to two additional resources. See the box to the right for more information.

Diversity Status Reports (DSRs)

These annual reports provide an overview of student and employee demographics and a cursory view of key year-to-year trends over the last five years. All of this information is derived from the Wake Forest Fact Book. The purpose of these reports, however, is to provide individuals with easy access to this particular information.

Beyond Federal
Reporting Categories

The US Department of Education provides methodologies for reporting racial and ethnic data for students, staff, and faculty, which can be found here: Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). Recognizing there are additional ways to report this data, IR and ODI have collaborated to produce the following report: Beyond Federal Reporting Categories. This report includes a review of racial and ethnic data using IPEDS methodology as well as the “Maximum Count” methodology.
