TaShaun began her career in secondary education in 2003 and has worked in higher education institutions since 2008 with positions in Academic and Student Affairs. She joined Wake Forest University in 2014 and worked in the Human Resources Department prior to joining the Office of Diversity and Inclusion Team in 2015. In addition to handling office operations, Shaun works closely with the overall budget for the Office of Diversity (ODI) and Inclusion, as well as provides problem-solving and consultative support to Diversity Education, the Intercultural Center, the LGBTQ Center, and the Women’s Center. She works closely with the Vice President to develop and enhance strategies to strengthen our business practices, in addition to researching and developing new opportunities for growth. She is the budget manager for the ODI budget and her work includes extending the communication efforts for ODI across our campus community.
Shaun manages complete administration over the ODI, Community in Progress, Intranet, and Facebook Websites. She also works closely with the Council on Inclusion and Diversity (formally the DIPC). In her capacity and roles as strategic partner, she works with the President’s Office, the Provost’s Office, the General Counsel’s Office, as well as the Office of Budget and Planning, Financial Services, and other areas of the University to enhance and improve our business processes.
Elliott received a B.S. from Winston-Salem State University in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and an M.S. in Adult and Higher Education with a concentration in Student Personnel Services from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University.
